Monte Cinto and other summits|Corsica

This is the highest and the most difficult part of our trekking over Corsica mountains. Monte Rotondo, is second highest summit. Monte D'Oro, the beautiful pyramid. Monte Cinto, the highest one. It took a loot of sweat, but as a reward we got amazing landscape of mountains with sea in distance.

Monte Rotondo

The way: Refuge de Petra Piana (1800m) - the lake Lavu Bellebone (2321m) - Monte Rotondo (2622m) - same way back - Refuge de Petra Piana (1800m) - cascades Manganello (1200m) - cottage Bergerie de Tolla (1011m) - bridge under de Tolla (942m) - Refuge de l'Onda (1385m).

Monte D'Oro - Vizzavona

The way: Refuge de l'Onda (1385m) - saddle Muratello (2064m) - Monte D'Oro (2388m) - same way back - saddle Muratello (2064m) - cascades Des Angalais - railway station Vizzavona (887m).

The rest

Spent in Ajaccio, capital of Corsica and birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte, emperor of French. Also some swimming in the sea and visit interesting sites like pub.

Trip over Monte Cinto

First day: Camp near Lozzi (1080m) - ruins of Petra Salisci church (1383m) - cottage Bergerie de Petra Pinzutta (1561m) - the lake Lac du Cinto (2289m) - saddle near Small Cinto (2651m) - Small Cinto (2651m) - summit Monte Cinto (2706m) - the lake Lac de Argentu with water of forever life (2400m) - cottage Refuge Asco Stagnu (1422m).

Second day: Cottage Refuge Asco Stagnu (1422m) - saddle Bocca di Stagnu (2034m) - along Spasimata creek down - bridge over the creek (1200m) - cottage Refuge de Carrozzu (1270m) - and the place where bus was waiting for us (600m).
