Koyasan, central town of Shingon buddhism, is located southern of Osaka in raising slopes of Kii Mountain range. There are no hotels, but you can stay within buddhist temples. It boasts many gates, statues, gardens, shrines, and templates. One of largest is located in Okunoin graveyard, and it is said that founder Kukai (post-humously named Koibo Daishi) is still there in deep meditation. Japan - to Osaka - Kumono Kodo Kohechi
